Oh, the places I’ll go!

Hi! My name is Kennedy, but you can call me Lainey since we’re friends :P. I started this organization 2 days ago on September 21, 2018 by starting an Instagram account (@crohnsandcolitisus). My hopes have been surpassed and I’m already almost at 100 followers! My goal is to educate the community and people outside the community about our invisible illnesses. I will be daily (as best as I can) blogging about IBD, Anxiety and OCD. My first real post, tomorrow, will discuss what experts think the relationship between IBD and anxiety is! I also want to support the community by making this a place where we can all come together and talk about our struggles and successes. Finally, I want to create a donate page and host fundraisers so I can help researchers in my community and all around America fight for a cure! You can go learn about my fight with Crohn’s and mental illness in the “about” page and you can follow my daily life on Instagram (again @crohnsandcolitisus). I love you guys and see I will see you tomorrow for a look at the relationship between IBD and mental illness! Question of the day: What is YOUR hypothesis as to why so many people with IBD also have a mental illness? Leave your answers in the comments!

Educate. Fight. Support.

  1. Hi Lainey, thank you for sharing. We understand the struggle of having to deal with an autoimmune disease and recognize your strength. If you would like to learn more about autoimmune diseases and ways to improve your health through functional medicine (such as food therapy and movement therapy) check out our blog. We recently posted The Best Foods for Crohns (https://drbonnie360.com/2018/10/23/food-spotlight-on-crohns-disease/). We have lots of resources that you may be interested in 🙂 #spooniestrong
